Perspectives: favourite food and drink

1. If you could pick one dish as your last meal, what would it be?

A prawn and avocado sandwich on soft white bread with lashings of butter and my Mum’s secret recipe seafood sauce.

2. Which country’s cuisine is your favourite – your fail-safe go to when you fancy dinner out?

Vienamese – so healthy and light, with wonderfully refreshing flavours.

3. On a girls’ night out, what would be your cocktail of choice?

Let’s just imagine it’s a beach-side night out so I can be drinking my all-time fave… I can’t go past a piña colada!

1. If you could pick one dish as your last meal, what would it be?

Hainanese chicken rice. Simple, but oh, so perfect.

2. Which country’s cuisine is your favourite – your fail-safe go to when you fancy dinner out?

Japanese, hands down. I feel like I’ve written this before (but I’m too lazy to go and check). Sushi, shashimi, udon, ramen, agedashi tofu, miso aubergine, okonomiyaki…even tempura and teriyaki are delicious! There’s something for every mood with Japanese.

3. On a girls’ night out, what would be your cocktail of choice?

The porn star martini. Apart from the fact that it comes in a martini glass (way too large an opening, tending towards spillage) it is my perfect drink. A shot of prosecco on the side, and a passionfruit mix of heavenly alcohol. Mmmm.

1. If you could pick one dish as your last meal, what would it be?

As much as I love seafood and fine dining, my last meal would be quite simple. It would undoubtedly including a pork belly roast with a double helping of crispy crackling, served with extra garlicky and creamy mashed potato.

2. Which country’s cuisine is your favourite – your fail-safe go to when you fancy dinner out?

I am always up for Vietnamese food. It’s light and full of fresh herbs, meaning you will never finish dinner with that heavy, bloated feeling. Even just the basic pho noodle broth is satisfyingly delicious and always a good choice.

3. On a girls’ night out, what would be your cocktail of choice?

I’m a big fan of margaritas. A bit like my personality, they’re not too sweet and can deliver a real kick!
